I have always told Ebbe that I wanted to make one of my dogs a working dog for the Swedish army. This really hit the right spot, and before I even had the time to start, Ebbe was well ahead training Dickson. Ebbe and Dickson did a great job. An Old English sheepdog is not exactly the breed people normally connect with being an army workingdog, so they didn't have anything in their favour. The certificate judge thought they looked "misplaced" among the rottweilers, german shepherds and the other breeds one would expect. But he had to change his mind and give them the title they very well deserved. A round of applause to Soile that kept Dickson's coat in such a super condition that it was possible to train and get the working dog title at the same time as he took his international show title.
