The reason for Tilly being shown clipped down is that around two years of age she got one of the tick diseases dogs can get in Sweden, erlichia. She was very ill and we didn't think she was going to survive. She was put on some very strong medicine for many weeks and we just had to hope for the best. She pulled through but because of the medicine her coat was nothing close to what it had been and the only way to get back on track again seemed to be to cut the dead coat off. Tilly, being the happy dog that she is, was soon well again and could enjoy herself in the showring with her best summerdress on.
